The Shilla Seoul
has launched a series of packages with one specifically targeting art lovers.
The Shillas standard
Summer
Savings package offers luxury accommodation with double occupancy, breakfast for two, 2 drinks tokens for use
at the hotels outdoor pool, duty free coupon worth KRW (Korean Won) 20,000 (US$22) and room upgrade, subject to availability.
Valid from July 1 to August 31 2007, this package is priced at KRW210,000 (US$ 227) a night on weekdays and KRW270,000 (US$292) on
weekends for a Superior room, or KRW260,000 / 320.000 (US$281/US$356) for a Grand Deluxe room.
Meanwhile, a
Leading Arts &
Culture package features luxury accommodation, breakfast and tickets to Seouls celebrated Leeum, Samsung
Museum of Art plus a comprehensive city tour of Seouls historic and cultural attractions.
Priced at KRW265,000 (US$ 286) for a Deluxe room, or KRW305,000 (US$330) in an Executive Deluxe room,
the package is valid until December 31, 2007 with
room upgrade for guests staying over three nights.
The
Leeum, Samsung Museum of Art which opened in 2004, is located on the slopes of Mount Namsan, just 10 minutes by shuttle bus from The
Shilla.
Comprising three central, interconnected buildings designed by world renowned architects Mario Botta, Jean Nouvel and Rem Koolhaas, the
Leeum houses one of the best collections of western modern art in Asia, as well as a fine selection of antique Korean ceramics, metalwork and
paintings. Permanent exhibits include works by Andy Warhol, Willem de Kooning, Francis Bacon and Damien Hirst. Opening hours are 10.30 am
to 6 pm Tuesday to Sunday.

Uniteds 2007 Asian Summer Tour, completed an extensive two-year makeover last year creating a "lifestyle destination" with dramatically improved shopping, dining, health and beauty, wedding, conference and
