Amadeus
has enabled electronic ticketing for Air China in Taiwan. The move will enable all Amadeus subscribers in Taiwan, both online and traditional agents, with enhanced efficiency in the ticketing process.
Air China
flies to more than 250 international destinations and is also the official airline partner of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games.
"With the launch of the e-ticketing facility through Amadeus, Air China will now be able to enjoy a simpler workflow. Not only will ticket
processing and monitoring be much faster than before, we will also be able to enjoy significant cost savings that were otherwise not
achievable through the paper ticketing process," said Mr.Hu Fajin, Senior Manager, E-Commerce Department, Air China.
"On the passengers' end, this would mean greater convenience in the form of a faster, easier check-in and less overall wait time."
Damian Hickey, Vice President Airline Business Group Asia Pacific
said, "Having effectively introduced e-ticketing in over 30 countries with
Air China already, we are delighted to have been selected by them once again on this occasion. E-ticketing has become a norm in the travel
industry today, and will be the way of the future. Amadeus is fully committed to providing Air China with the best possible IT solutions, and
will continue to bring business benefits and cost savings to them."
