Visa International,
in cooperation with Sakura House, a real estate agency that specializes in providing short term rental
accommodation for foreign visitors to Tokyo, have launched the “Stay at Sakura House with
Visa Campaign”.
The campaign will run until 29
December 2007 allows guests to enjoy a discount of 3,000 yen off the first month’s rental.
The Sakura House manages more than 1,200 furnished apartments/rooms at more than
120 locations in central Tokyo and is an ideal choice for foreign visitors
planning to live in Tokyo from one month to one year. There are three types of accommodation at the Sakura
House, one and two-room studio apartments priced from 80,000 yen/month, a
guesthouse priced from 48,000 yen/month, or dormitory accommodation which is priced
from 35,000 yen/month.
Sakura House services include staff who can
speak English, Chinese, and Korean; fully-furnished apartments and rooms; free
internet access is provided for most properties; and, all electricity, gas, and water bills,
and maintenance/repairs are covered. There is also no need to pay a deposit or offer a
guarantor (often a prerequisite when renting a place in Japan). In addition, Visa
cardholders are able to pay the 30,000 Yen deposit and rental with their Visa card
- with the deposit then partially refundable to 20,000 yen.
In order to take advantage of the “Stay at Sakura House with Visa Campaign”,
travellers need to print out the offer coupon from any Visa country website in
Asia Pacific or from the card-issuers’ websites. Reservations can be made by phone or online. Cardholders need to
mention they are using the offer coupon at time of reservation and must present it along
with their Visa card upon checking in. Each cardholder is only entitled to use the voucher once per stay regardless of
period of stay. The promotion is applicable to all Visa cards issued in
the Asia Pacific region excluding Japan.
