Mandarin Oriental
has appointed David Nicholls as Group Director of Food and Beverage. He will be based at Mandarin Oriental’s regional office in London, and will represent
the group’s food and beverage interests on a global basis.
Mr Nicholls has over 30 years of food and beverage experience, and was most recently Director of Food and Beverage and Executive Chef
at the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. Under his tenure, the hotel’s restaurants have received many dining accolades,
including awards from the Automobile Association (AA), Royal Automobile Club (RAC) and the Five Diamond award. In addition, the hotel’s
signature restaurant, Foliage has maintained its coveted Michelin star since 2002.
Prior to joining Mandarin Oriental, Mr Nicholls worked as a chef at Buckingham Palace, and was the youngest chef in the United Kingdom to
be awarded a Michelin star. He has close associations with some of the world’s most distinguished culinary talent, including Heston
Blumenthal, Gordon Ramsay, Thomas Keller and Ferran Adria, and is himself celebrated for his culinary expertise and contemporary,
cutting-edge cuisine.
Sarah Coy will replace David Nicholls as Director of Food and Beverage at
the Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, London. Ms Coy was most recently
Director of Events, where she has successfully built on the hotel’s reputation as one of London’s finest luxury venues.
