Impact Asia, a leading specialist in PR, events and marketing services for high profile brands such as
the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Jumeirah, Fiji Water, Ferragamo, Diageo and Three on the Bund, has opened an office in Shanghai to service a growing number of clients in
its core business sectors of lifestyle, luxury and travel who are looking for representation in China.
Michelle Liu, a seasoned marketing and PR professional with related experience in China and Europe, will head up the Shanghai office and
be responsible for future China development. She joins Impact Asia from Hachette Filipacchi Media China where she was Senior Marketing
Manager overseeing integrated marketing campaigns for clients of Elle,
Marie Claire, Psychologies, etc. She also has experience as a lifestyle journalist and worked with SOPEXA Shanghai promoting French culture and products.
Fluent in her native Mandarin, French and English, Michelle holds a Master in International Business from the Ecole Supérieure de
Commerce de Grenoble, France, and a Bachelor in Sociology from Shanghai University.
Commenting on the move, Susan Field, who founded Impact Asia in 1990
said, “The decision to set up in Shanghai was taken after we received a growing number of enquiries from new and existing clients asking us to provide them with a high level of service in China as well
as Hong Kong and other cities in Asia. Given that we have worked in China for some years on various high profile projects, we feel the time
is perfect to establish a more permanent presence there.
“We will offer the same services in Shanghai as in Hong Kong - public relations, event management and graphic design - ensuring clients,
old and new, can enjoy our “one stop shop” business model.”
