The
InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong has opened its new state-of-the-art Club
InterContinental Lounge. The new facility, featuring panoramic views of Victoria Harbour, is eight
times larger than the former facility.
Guests of Club InterContinental can enjoy a separate check-in counter on the hotel's new first floor
lounge and enter a secluded haven of elegance and comfort away from the main lobby and the
bustling streets of viibrant Hong Kong. The modern, spacious facility seats 100 people comfortably and offers a perfect refuge from the hectic city.
Peter Pollmeier, General Manager of InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong
said, "The enhanced sense of space was a key design element in the new lounge. Club InterContinental is incredibly popular, particularly during
peak season making expansion a logical next step, to accommodate the demand. We anticipate Club InterContinental will be a signature
facility for guests who stay in the Tsimshatsui East area."
Designed by one of Hong Kong's leading architects, John Chan, the lounge décor is an exercise in home comforts. With floor to ceiling
windows, the spacious lounge enjoys abundant natural lighting. The furniture and soft decorations feature muted earth tones and marble
facilities to convey a sense a tranquility that is both pleasing to the eye and relaxing.
Meanwhile, floor to ceiling glass and mirror panels etched with floral patterns offer guests a sense of privacy as well as an
eye-catching
sense of grandeur. With 50-inch LCD panels installed, guests can also enjoy the latest news and events.
A separate Function Room is available for guests to hold meetings, cocktails or dinner functions for up to 12 people. It features a separate
entrance that can be accessed separately from the main lounge entrance.
With its natural light and
unforgettable harbour views, the new lounge promises to be a
popular venue for guests to impress.
