Singapore Airlines
has confirmed that it is to reduce its fuel surcharges, following a decline in jet fuel prices in recent weeks.
This is the second time the surcharges have been reduced:
the first was in October 2006.
The following surcharges will apply for tickets purchased on or after Tuesday 30 January 2007:
•
Between Singapore and gateways in South East Asia (ASEAN countries): Reduce from
US$18 to US$16 per sector
• Between Singapore and gateways in USA/Canada: Reduce from US$82 to
US$78 per sector
• For all other flights: Reduce from US$54 to US$52 per sector
While the price of crude has come down, jet fuel prices have not fallen to the same extent, and the difference between the two
remains high.
