The
Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo located within the prestigious financial, historic and cultural centre of the city,
has launched a special package that is available for the first 80 reservations made, and is valid from 1 July through 31 August 2007.
Each pair of guests booking the
MO
Sense of Nippon
package, will receive a set of fine cut glass Edo Kiriko saké cups handcrafted for
Mandarin Oriental and featuring the hotel’s trademark fan, together with a bottle of premium Oku no Matsu Junmai Daiginjo-shu pure rice
saké. Highly fragrant with a crisp, clean flavour, this premium label from Fukushima Prefecture in northern Japan is characteristic of saké
brewed from rice that has been polished at higher milling rates, considered to be the pinnacle of the sake craft. In addition, each couple will
receive two original Japanese fans designed in a special collaboration by two time-honored Nihonbashi shops: Chikusen, purveyors of
yukata since 1842; and Ibasen, makers of fine silk, bamboo and paper fans since 1590. Shaped by Ibasen artisans, the flat fan is made
of hand-dyed Chikusen-brand yukata fabric.
To complete this Japanese experience, a selection of original, cotton yukata summer wear created by Chikusen for men and women is
available for purchase at the hotel starting from JPY47,000 each.
For each participating pair of guests, the MO Sense of Nippon package includes:

(King or twin-bedded)

This double occupancy package price, which includes sales tax and a 10% service charge, is JPY65,000 for stays commencing Sunday
