Newly appointed Executive Director of the Hong Kong Tourism Board (HKTB), Mr Anthony Lau
Chun Hon, assumed his new office on Wednesday.
Apart from meeting with management members to
discuss strategies and plans for the year ahead, Mr Lau is set for more meetings with
travel trade partners in the coming month to establish further understanding about Hong Kong’s tourism
industry.
Expressing excitement about his first day on the job, Mr Lau said, “Being born and raised in Hong
Kong, I’m most thrilled to take part in promoting the tourism industry of my very home. I look forward
to meeting all the staffs and getting accustomed to the new environment soon. At the moment, my
top priorities include seeking advice from the Government and travel
trade, and formulating business plan and budget for the next financial year with the HKTB’s management team.”
The Hon James Tien, Chairman of the HKTB, said, “I warmly welcome Anthony joining HKTB as the
new Executive Director. I am confident that with his extensive expertise in marketing and management, Mr Lau will lead the organisation to
work closely with travel-trade partners in promoting Hong Kong’s tourism
industry.”
