Etihad
Airways has launched a special promotional fare between Australia and Singapore as it gears
up to start its new services from Brisbane.
The
Abu Dhabi-based carrier is selling companion fares for two people for just
A$999, including all taxes, levies and surcharges. Travel is valid between 29 September and 30
November only. This celebratory fare is on sale until 14 September or until sold out.
Cramer Ball, Etihad Airways’ manager in Australia,
said, “As we countdown to the start of services at Brisbane in September, we’re offering this fantastic celebratory fare to enable travellers to
experience Etihad’s luxury on-board experience.”
From 29 September, Etihad Airways will operate three flights-a-week from Brisbane, to Singapore,
and then on to Abu Dhabi, the airline’s home base. The flights will provide Australian business and
leisure travellers with a frequent service to Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, and onwards to 45 destinations worldwide including Europe,
North America, Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Brisbane will be Etihad’s second destination in Australia following the launch in March of services from Sydney. Etihad
now offers non-stop flights from Sydney to Abu Dhabi.
Etihad Airways flight EY473 will begin operating on 29 September from Brisbane Airport every Saturday, Monday and Thursday departing at
1.25pm, arriving in Singapore at 7:05pm. Following a short transit time, the flight will depart Singapore at 8:25pm and arrive in Abu Dhabi at
11:59pm.
Etihad Airways flight EY470 will operate every Friday, Sunday and Wednesday, departing Abu Dhabi at 10:05am, arriving Singapore at
8.55pm. The flight will depart Singapore at 10:10pm arriving in Brisbane at 08:20am the following morning.
The
airline will operate a two cabin Airbus A330-200 between Abu Dhabi and Brisbane configured to carry 262 passengers, with 22 in business
class and 240 in economy.
