Oasis Hong Kong Airlines
has appointed one of Asia’s leading aviation industry professionals, Mr
Francis Wai King Fai, as its new Chief Financial Officer.
Mr Wai
has over 26 years of experience in finance and accounting: 17 years of which
is in airline financing, making him one of the region’s top aviation industry executives.
Most recently he was Chief Executive Officer of Macau Asia Express Limited, prior to
which he was the Chief Financial Officer of Dragonair for 13
years.
In his role as Chief Financial Officer of Dragonair, Mr Wai oversaw the significant
expansion of the airline’s business, and its diversification into cargo operations. He was
primarily responsible for budgetary cost control and strategic cost management;
arranging financing and leasing for new aircraft acquisition; medium to long term
strategic planning and financial planning; revenue accounting; and financial risk
management.
Mr Wai is a member of The Chartered Association of Certified Accountants; The
Chartered Institute of Management Accountants; and Hong Kong Institute of Certified
Public Accountants.
He has qualifications from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business Stanford
Executive Program and the Hong Kong Polytechnic University.
