Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals
(HFTP) is gearing up for its 2007 Annual Convention & Tradeshow. The convention,
celebrating its 55th year, includes education sessions, numerous networking opportunities and the annual business meeting for
HFTP. It will be held October 17-20 at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront in Jacksonville, Fla.
"The education advisory council has dedicated a lot of their time the past year to provide an educational and worthwhile Annual Convention
& Tradeshow for attendees," said Frank Wolfe, CAE, CEO of HFTP. "Their hard work is already showing with the record-breaking attendee
numbers expected this year."
HFTP recently added more rooms to the room block at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront, making it the largest room block ever for
an HFTP Annual Convention & Tradeshow. HFTP has secured a discounted rate at the Hyatt
Regency Jacksonville Riverfront for attendees of the convention. To take advantage of the special rates,
delegates must make their hotel
reservations before October 1.
The convention will include education sessions from experts representing all segments of the hospitality industry. Sessions will cover topics
such as the immigration debate and its impact on the club industry, strategic management processes, technology "mythbusters," disaster
planning and recovery, condo hotel accounting, I.D. theft, network security and more.
The Annual Convention & Tradeshow will also include
opportunities for attendees to network with colleagues and friends. The
Welcome Reception on Wednesday night will allow attendees their first visit
to the exhibit hall as they network with vendors and peers. The
HFTP Casino Night on Thursday night provides the chance for attendees to play Texas Hold'em, Roulette, Craps and Black Jack, while
helping HFTP Scholarship and Educational Endowment programs around the world. Friday night's President's Evening is a black-tie
optional event that includes an elegant dinner and dancing.
The annual business meeting and luncheon will be Friday, October 19 at 11:45 a.m. The meeting will give special recognition to the outgoing
international board of directors and will review what HFTP has accomplished over the past year.
