Bangkok
Airways recently took delivery of a brand-new Airbus 319. The aircraft
landed at Suvarnabhumi straight from the Airbus factory in Hamburg,
Germany. It is the first to arrive before six other A319s are expected next year and in 2009.
With one-class seat
configuration, the aircraft has 144-seat capacity and is able to reach a
maximum range of seven hours. Initial route designations for this aircraft are Bangkok-Phuket and Bangkok- Siem
Reap.
Bangkok Airways'
fleet currently consists of 16 aircraft: eight ATR 72 (70 seats), four Boeing 717-200 (120 seats), three Airbus 320 (162
seats), and an Airbus 319 (144 seats).
