ASTA Partners with Television Series 'Laura McKenzie’s Traveler'

ASTA has entered into a a cross-promotional partnership with Associated Television International, producer and distributor of the popular US TV series, Laura McKenzie’s Traveler, hosted by renowned travel expert Laura McKenzie. ASTA travel agents will begin contributing commentary and advice tips about destinations being showcased on the weekly program.

“ASTA has made a concerted effort to increase consumer awareness and to educate the general public about the benefits of using an ASTA travel agent,” said Cheryl Hudak, CTC, ASTA president and CEO. “Laura McKenzie is an energetic and highly regarded travel expert who is a long time friend of the travel agent community; we look forward to working with her to promote smart travel to consumers.”

“Every week, we take viewers around the globe, showing them where to go and what to do to get the best value for their time and money,” added Laura McKenzie. “We’re proud that ASTA has become part of our family and we know that its members will be able to offer insight that will enhance the vacation experience of our viewers.”

ASTA’s logo and website link will be now featured in the end credits of each episode, while ASTA will highlight Laura McKenzie’s Traveler on its websites.

Laura McKenzie is more than just a travel expert. She is a guidebook author, a radio personality and a television host. She has hosted and produced 42 award winning travel home videos. Her video on Hawaii remained for 15 months at the #1 position on Billboard Magazine’s special interest charts and also won the “Video of the Decade Award.” She has been featured on Oprah, Entertainment Tonight, Extra and appears often on The Early Show (CBS). Laura McKenzie’s Traveler is now seen throughout the US on over 270 stations.
