Shangri-La Hotels and
Resorts has appointed Barbara Pang senior vice president – sales and
marketing. Ms. Pang will be responsible for the group’s overall sales
and marketing including brand communications, sales and distribution,
revenue management, eBusiness, and loyalty and partner marketing. She will report directly to Chief
Operating Officer Symon Bridle.
Prior to her current position, she was vice president – marketing,
providing linkage between corporate sales and marketing and her assigned
properties, to maximize revenues and ensure the successful and timely
implementation of corporate initiatives.
Ms. Pang has held sales,
marketing and management positions at Island Shangri-La and Kowloon Shangri-La hotels in Hong Kong. She
has also held senior marketing posts at Mandarin Oriental, Grand Hyatt hotels in Hong Kong.
Ms. Pang originally joined Shangri-La in 1990 and rejoined in 2003.
