Following a 76 million refurbishment,
the InterContinental London Park Lane recently opened 60 elegant designer suites, including four
signature suites. The suites were designed by Khuan Chew of London-based interior design consultancy KCA
International.
"As the flagship of the InterContinental brand we aspire to present a suite experience that
showcases our unique Number One Park Lane location and the attitude and attention to detail of our
service team," said Roland Fasel, General Manager of the InterContinental London Park Lane.
The property has also opened the doors of its long awaited Club
InterContinental Located on the seventh floor, the purpose-built Club InterContinental is spread over 223 square metres and features floor-to-ceiling,
double-glazed bay windows that provide striking views of London's historic landscapes. The design is sleek and comfortable. A colour
palette of dark reds, browns and creams, ensures sophistication and a tranquil feel, whilst solid, mahogany square tables and the central bar
area, creates a space that is contemporary and chic.
The Club's space has been separated into distinct areas to fit the needs and activities of any guest. The central area allows guests to dine
while they take in the stunning views of the city, whilst the far end of the lounge, with its plush sofas and chairs, offers a relaxing library-style
spot. There are also more secluded seating areas, providing privacy for those guests wishing to have informal business meetings.
Club membership is complimentary to guests staying in suites, whilst non-suite guests have the opportunity to upgrade to Club membership
for 80 per room, per night. The unique club package includes a buffet breakfast; afternoon tea with traditional scones, clotted cream and
jam; and a two hour premium champagne cocktail bar in the evening. Unlimited snacks, soft drinks, coffee and tea are also on offer
throughout the day.
Other amenities include complimentary Wi-Fi and Internet access; Bang & Olufsen TVs; Bose sound systems and I-pod docks; an extensive
library of international newspapers, magazines and books; and CD and DVD library.
"InterContinental London Park Lane has set a benchmark for hotels across London by creating the largest and most unique club lounge in all of Europe,"
explained Fasel. "Not only do we have the most spectacular views of any club in the city, but our club offering combined with our superior service, is sure to catapult this space to the preferred club venue for our guests."
