Next Monday Accor opens
the Mercure Surabaya in Java’s second largest city as part of its long-term strategy to establish
Mercure as the leading mid-market brand in Indonesia.
The opening also complements the recent launch of
Mercure Batam earlier this
month. The 125-room Mercure Surabaya (formerly the Mirama Hotel) has completed a multi-million dollar renovation that brings it up to most recent
brand standards.
The
hotel is celebrating the launch with a special opening rate that starts from 399,000 rp
(US$44) net per night until 30 June.
Mercure Surabaya’s prime location in the city’s main business district
(CBD) of Jalan Raya Darmo is expected to create a strong demand from corporate
clients as the hotel is surrounded by major commercial developments, government buildings
and financial institutions. Its sophisticated meeting and function facilities can host up to 1,000 people for weddings, conferences or product
launches, supported by 3 breakout rooms and a business centre.
The Mercure is also ideal for leisure travellers, with the resort-like
facilities including a swimming pool, modern fitness centre and spa complex.
The hotel’s main dining outlet, Trimurti Restaurant, is poised to become one
of the hottest dining venues in Surabaya. Its multi-cuisine buffet highlights the best of International and Indonesian dishes with the outlet’s
open plan kitchen adding a touch of drama to the dining room. Lanhau Restaurant is Mercure Surabaya’s flagship Chinese restaurant with 3 private
dining areas available for parties or events. Coffee Café serves light meals, sandwiches, snacks and sweets all day and offers live entertainment
in the evening. The Oasis Pool Bar serves refreshments and snacks poolside.
