SAS Cargo
has increased capacity on its routes between Scandinavia - Bangkok and Scandinavia - Dubai. To Bangkok two more weekly frequencies,
approximately 30 tons each way, has been added and to Dubai three weekly frequencies, approximately 45 tons each way,
has been added.
The new capacity to Dubai is a supplement to the current all-cargo capacity, which SAS Cargo has between Gothenburg and Dubai three
times a week.
"Dubai is an important hub for the Middle Eastern Region and it is important for SAS Cargo to be present here. With six weekly frequencies
on both passenger and all-cargo aircrafts it is possible for SAS Cargo to offer a quite unique transport solution between Scandinavia and
Dubai. This will especially benefit our customers with a demand for express products and special products,"
said VP Global Sales, Nils
Pries-Knudsen.
SAS Cargo has appointed Dnata Cargo as local sales and handling agent
for the United Arab Emirates.
The new direct route between Stockholm and Bangkok will complement the five weekly departures from Copenhagen to Bangkok. For
Swedish shippers the new departures from Stockholm will save them about one day in transport time.
