Low
cost Singapore-based airline, Tiger Airways, has appointed Peter Negline to the position of Chief
Financial Officer. Peter replaces Evelyn Tan, who will be leaving the company to pursue personal
interests. Peter has over 20 years experience in aviation financing, research & funds management all
with global, blue chip financial institutions. Peter's appointment is
effective 30 July 2007.
Prior to joining Tiger, Peter was an Executive Director and Head of Regional
Transportation Research at JPMorgan Securities in Hong Kong.
Peter, who is originally from Melbourne, Australia, has extensive experience and knowledge of the
aviation industry in Australasia, Asia, India and the Middle East. In his research position at JPMorgan,
he was instrumental in leading investor pre-education of LCCs in Asia, aviation liberalization in India
and assessing the fast growing MidEast market. He has also been a regular conference presenter
and contributor to industry journals.
Over his extensive career, Peter was involved in the Qantas IPO in 1995, the unwinding of cross shareholdings between SIA, Delta
and SwissAir in 1999, the primary and secondary share placement for Thai Airways in 2003, among others.
Peter’s responsibilities at Tiger Airways will focus on optimizing the company’s financial position as it pursues aggressive fleet expansion
and network development across the Asia Pacific Region.
