Hilton Hotels has appointed seasoned industry
professionals, Thomas Hoeborn, Mark Deere and Sean Brennan, to lead its Hilton hotels
in Bangkok, Hanoi and Hua Hin respectively.
Commenting on the appointments, Mr. Kees Hartzuiker, Vice President Operations,
Asia, said, Travel in Asia has increased dramatically over the past few years and Hilton
is well positioned to ride this growth, with key properties in major Asian cities and a
healthy development pipeline for the region. Thomas, Mark and Sean are all extremely
familiar with the Hilton culture, having been with the company for a number of years. We
are pleased to be able to appoint these capable individuals from within our strong talent
pool to lead our hotels.
A 27-year veteran of the hospitality industry, Mr.
Thomas
Hoeborn joins the Millennium Hilton
Bangkok from the Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, which he managed for two years. Over
the last 15 years he has held positions in several of Hiltons properties in Asia Pacific,
including Hotel Manager of the Hilton Tokyo and Regional Director of Food & Beverage
for Japan, Korea, China, Micronesia and the Philippines. Mr Hoeborn has vast
experience across the major hospitality disciplines with a particularly strong
background in Food & Beverage.
Opened in May 2006, the Millennium Hilton Bangkok is one of Hiltons newest
properties. The 32-storey landmark features a 50-meter river frontage, private pier,
two level
spa and chic interiors by BARstudio and tonychi lighting.
Mr.
Mark Deere has been appointed to lead the Hilton Hanoi Opera as its General Manager.
Prior to joining the Hilton Hanoi Opera, he was General Manager of the Hilton Dubai
Creek. Mr Deere has extensive hotel management experience, having worked in a
number of Hiltons properties in Europe and Asia, following his first stint in 1990 as
Assistant Conference and Banquet Manager at the London Hilton in Park Lane.
Mr.
Sean Brennan
has been appointed as General Manager of Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa.
Mr Brennan is no stranger to Asia, having spent the past seven years in various
positions across Hiltons properties in Singapore, Seoul, Bangkok and Kuala Lumpur.
Prior to joining Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, he was Director of Operations at the Hilton
Kuala Lumpur.
