All Emirates
Airline customers can now select and secure their preferred seats on their flights at the
time of booking, when they purchase their tickets on the airline's
website, emirates.com
Previously available only to customers who purchase First and Business class tickets online,
Emirates is now making this feature available to customers booking online for all classes of travel.
The airline has simultaneously launched this convenient online service across its
global websites, making it immediately available to customers in more than 50 countries served by
Emirates across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Australasia.
Ghaith al Ghaith, Emirates Executive Vice President for Commercial Operations Worldwide
said,
"Travellers increasingly demand the convenience of organizing their itineraries via the Internet; and
that is why Emirates continually invests in new ways of providing our customers with high quality
and value-added online services.
"We
are pleased to extend our Internet seat selection feature to all our customers who book online, and we are confident this initiative would be
very well-received."
Effective immediately, all travellers who purchase their Emirates flight tickets online can select and book their seats for the flight, from
amongst available seats at the time of purchase. This ensures that on the day of travel, customers can proceed to the airport with the peace
of mind that they already have secured their preferred seats.
In addition to information on the airline and its latest promotions,
the website provides easy-to-navigate
prompts to guide travellers through the process of selecting their flight itinerary, purchasing of tickets and selection of seats.
All Emirates customers can also check-in for their flights between 24 and two hours in advance of flight departure via the Internet, and select
their seats from amongst those available at the time. Passengers can check-in for groups of up to nine persons travelling together, as well as
for connecting flights on Emirates, further shortening waiting times at the airport.
Some
customers may be disappointed to know that exit row seats onboard any flight can only be allocated at airport check-in counters, as per international
aviation regulations.
