Marriott
has expanded its portfolio in China with the opening of the 300-room Renaissance Wuhan Hotel under a management agreement with
Hubei Energy Sources Group Co., Ltd. The hotel is the first Marriott property in Wuhan City, Hubei Province and the 24th in China.
The general manager is Rodney
Wan, and Julian Wong is the director of marketing. Special introductory rates are rmb 600 ($78 USD) for a deluxe
room, rmb 800 (US$103) for a club deluxe room, rmb 1,500 (US$194) for a junior suite and rmb 1,700
(US$220) for a club junior suite. These special opening rates are valid until
June 9, 2007.
Located in the dynamic business district of Wuchang, one of Wuhan’s fastest developing districts, the
22-storey Renaissance Wuhan
Hotel is situated along the east side of the Yangtze River and within close proximity of the scenic East Lake. Wuhan Tianhe International Airport is
located approximately 35kms from the hotel.
The Renaissance Wuhan Hotel features 278 deluxe guest rooms, 16 suites, five apartments and one presidential
suite. Each stylish guestroom offers well-appointed amenities including plush bedding, individually controlled air-conditioning, broadband
internet access, glass work desk, and separate bathtub and shower. The Renaissance Club Lounge, located on the 21st floor, is exclusive to

The Renaissance Brasserie offers a “five senses” experience with live cooking stations of authentic international flavors and local favorites. The
Wan Li Chinese Restaurant is a rich and inviting contemporary Chinese restaurant featuring 11 elegantly designed private rooms complete with
plasma televisions. Wan Li specializes in Cantonese cuisine as well as authentic Hubei specialties. The Wuhan Bar & Lounge is
a perfect place
to end the day and offers live entertainment nightly.
For meetings and events, the hotel boasts state-of-the-art banquet and conference facilities on the 3rd floor offering 1,372 sq meters of meeting
