OSIM, a global leader in health and lifestyle products,
has released details of the OSIM 2007 Hong Kong ITU Triathlon Asian Cup
which will be held over consecutive Sundays on 23 and 30 September at Plover Cove,
Tai Po.
Organized by the Hong Kong
Triathlon Association (HKTriA), co-organized by Enterprise Sports Group (ESG), and sanctioned by
the International Triathlon Union (ITU) and Asian Triathlon Confederation (ASTC), the OSIM 2007
Hong Kong ITU Triathlon Asian Cup is an annual event in Hong Kong.
The arrangement
of consecutive Sundays is aimed at providing more opportunities for participants
from different age groups and teams to watch and participate in the event, as well as enhancing their
preparation from observing world class athletes on the first Race Day.
This year’s prize purse is
US$25,000 and the winning athletes will also gain world ranking points as confirmed by Tiger Choy, President of
the Hong Kong Triathlon Association who today thanked OSIM for its second consecutive year of title sponsorship for the Hong Kong ITU
Triathlon Asian Cup.
Choy said, “OSIM is a great benefactor of triathlon sport in Asia. Last year, with the support of OSIM, the Hong Kong Triathlon attracted a big
crowd of spectators and set a new event record for participation. We are confident that our second year of collaboration with OSIM will
further promote the sport of triathlon in Hong Kong and help more people experience the inspiration and excitement of this sport.”
To encourage wider participation (particularly amongst youths) and further promote the sport in Hong Kong, the OSIM 2007 Hong Kong ITU
Triathlon Asian Cup is introducing a variety of race categories for participants of every age and fitness level to take up the
