Phuket’s Indigo Pearl Resort launches Festive Season Packages

Phuket’s Indigo Pearl resort is offering a range of high-season packages. The getaways to the resort on Nai Yang Beach, just 10 minutes from Phuket International Airport, include daily breakfast with return airports transfers and are valid from November 1, 2007 - April 1, 2008, except over Christmas and New Year from December 21, 2007 - January 11, 2008.

Seven and three-night “Explorer” packages incorporate both sea and land recreational outings and experiences of Thailand’s paradise island. Three nights start at US$674 for two, rising to US$938 for private pool pavilion accommodation with seven nights ranging from $1,262 to US$1,879.

A choice of two land or sea activities includes a 60-minute massage, fishing, Thai cooking class, sea canoeing, Thai kickboxing, yoga class or snorkeling excursion to nearby Phi Phi or Koh Kai Islands.

A “Many Ways” activity-filled, two night package includes a Thai cooking lesson, spa pampering and even Thai boxing.

Perfect for weekend getaways, it is headlined by a day’s tuition in the fine art of Thai cooking, with a market outing to buy fresh local produce and an introduction to the herbs and spices used in Thai cooking and finally a practical cooking lesson.

Another option is a one-hour massage at the resort’s spa or group yoga and Muay Thai-boxing which must be booked a day in advance. The holiday ranges from US$444 for two to US$719 for private pool pavilion accommodation.

A “Golf Package” for two includes two rounds at the island’s prestigious Blue Canyon club – playing both the Lake and Canyon courses.

The three day-two night package is priced from US$794 to US$912, depending on accommodation category, and includes golf course transfers, 60-minute massage and “19th hole” complimentary drink back at the resort’s Tongkah Tin Syndicate bar.

The “Pearl of Siam Gateway” package for two is split between Indigo Pearl and Siam@Siam hotel in Bangkok. It is on offer for a total of either seven or ten nights, with either two or three nights in Bangkok.

Including a candlelit dinner for two and massage at Indigo Pearl, the 10-night package starts at US$1,560, rising to US$3,801 for top accommodation at both destinations. Round trip airport transfers in Bangkok cost THB 2,200 and in Phuket are an additional THB 600 per car. 

Also on offer is a range of scuba-diving packages. Typical of them is the “Andaman Discovery” for six days and five nights, including ten dives.

It features a half-day excursion of Ko Waeo for two dives; a full-day trip to Phi Phi, the idyllic location for Leonard DeCaprio’s The Beach, for three dives; another full day with three dives at legendary Similan Island, one of the world’s premier dive sites; and a half-day trip diving at either Shark Point or the King Cruiser wreck.

Also including one dinner and meals on dive trips, the package is priced from US$1,496 rising to US$1,937 for private pool pavilion accommodation, with a 25,850 Baht supplement for a second diver and 10,000 Baht supplement for PADI Advanced Course certification.

Most packages include daily breakfast for two, 20% discount on food and beverage, return airport transfers, late check out till 4 pm and accommodation upgrade if available.

Additional complimentary activities at the resort also include biking, snorkelling along a nearby coral reef, beach power walks, windsurfing, petanque, snooker, bodyboarding, stretch classes, canoeing and kayaking.
