Virgin Atlantic
has appointed Currimjee Jeewanjee as its General Sales Agent in Mauritius.
Paul Dickinson, Virgin Atlantics Director of Sales and Marketing
commented on the appointment, "I am delighted at the appointment of Currimjee
Jeewanjee as Virgins General Sales Agent in Mauritius. I am looking forward to working with them towards the start of our twice weekly service
from London to Mauritius. After an extensive tender process, we felt that
Currimjee Jeewanjee was a good fit for Virgin and would be at the forefront of promoting our product not only in Mauritius but also in
the region.
Currimjee Jeewanjee & Co. Ltd was established in 1890, originally trading
in commodities. Since then, the company has diversified into sectors such
as telecommunications, media, IT, real estate, tourism and finance and is
active both in Mauritius and the region.
Virgin Atlantic will commence services between London Gatwick and Mauritius
twice a week on Mondays and Fridays on a Boeing 747-400 aircraft from 29
October this year.
