Carlson Hotels has honoured its top-performing hotels, managers and employees at the company’s annual global business conference held in
Paris last month. The selected hotels and employees included the best performers from the Asia Pacific region, as follows:
Top-Performing Hotels:
The President's Award is the company’s most prestigious honour, and is presented to Radisson hotels which have demonstrated outstanding
performance. The President’s Award 2006 winners were: Radisson Plaza Hotel Hangzhou, Radisson Resort Gold Coast, Radisson on Flagstaff
Gardens Melbourne, Radisson Hotel Pudong Century Park, Radisson Plaza Hotel Sydney, Radisson Hotel Chennai and Radisson White Sands
Resort Goa. These top-performing hotels excelled in property quality and cleanliness, property management, marketing and sales, leveraging the
revenue generating tools of the brand and delivering total guest satisfaction.
Hotel of the Year:
Radisson Resort Gold Coast won the Hotel of the Year. The award is presented to the hotel that has achieved excellence in standards of service
and operations supported by outstanding performance in the areas of revenue generated per available room (RevPAR), Customer Satisfaction,
Employee Engagement (Gallup) and Quality Assurance Evaluation results.
New Hotel of the Year:
The Park Plaza Beijing Wangfujing was named as the New Hotel of the Year. The award is presented to a new hotel which has achieved
excellence in standards of service and operations supported by outstanding performance in the areas of revenue generated per available room
(RevPAR), Customer Satisfaction, Employee Engagement (Gallup) and Quality Assurance Evaluation results.
General Manager of the Year:
General Manager of the Year was awarded to Jaideep Singh, general manager of the Radisson White Sands Resort Goa. Singh was honoured for
achieving excellence in creating a positive working environment which attracts and retains employees who are empowered to help the hotel
achieve success, with low staff turnover.
Director of Sales & Marketing of the Year:
Saeed Ahmed from the Radisson Water Garden Hotel Dhaka, Bangladesh, was recognised as the Director of Sales & Marketing of the Year. This
award is presented annually to the top manager who establishes a high level of employee and guest engagement as well as for excellence in
guest services, revenue generated per available room (RevPAR), and who is an active participant within the brand.
Employee of the Year:
Trieneke Collins, Accounts Assistant at the Radisson on Flagstaff Gardens, Melbourne, was recognised as the company’s 2006 Employee of the
Year. Collins was chosen for her commitment to quality work, demonstration of a Yes I Can! Attitude to guests and colleagues, and the ability to
create positive experiences that exceed guests’ expectations.
