KEA
in Australia is providing travellers with NAVMAN navigation systems to complement its rental fleet of luxury motor homes and campervans.
As an optional extra, KEA’s rental customers can now hit the road with a compact NAVMAN iCN 330 navigation system which mounts to
the dash and provides voice-guided directions with a GPS accuracy rate of up to five metres. The unit features an anti-glare, high
resolution screen that displays a 3D map with a second-by-second refresh rate, and utilises Back-On-Track technology to automatically
map new routes should travellers take a wrong turn.
“Demand for navigation systems on our rental vehicles is extraordinary – travellers have been snapping them up since they were
introduced in December. The unit is simple to use and a perfect companion to visitors to Australia as well as domestic travellers who want
to take the headache out of their exploration,” said KEA International Sales and Marketing Manager, Australia and New Zealand, Richard
McKisack.
“Navigation technology is relatively new to Australia, but has been commonplace in Europe for close to a decade. Our customers from
overseas are accustomed to the technology and so far have jumped on the opportunity to pay a little extra for an electronic guide,
especially as the unit can communicate in eight languages including English, German, Dutch, Danish, French, Italian, Spanish and
Swedish.” he said.
The NAVMAN iCN 330 is programmed with a built-in map of Australia, meaning travellers have a smart, easy to use guide that’ll direct
them where they want to go, anywhere in the country.
KEA’s NAVMAN navigators are available for rental for an extra
A$5.00 per day on top of the daily vehicle rate, to a maximum of A$250 for 50 days.
