Bintan Lagoon Resort appoints Robert Ramey as General Manager

The Bintan Lagoon Resort recently appointed Mr. Robert Ramey as General Manager.

Robert Ramey joins the resort with over 30 years of experience in the hospitality industry. His key credentials were with Club Corporation of America /Club Corporation of Asia where he amassed considerable golf and hospitality experience.

 He moved to Thailand in 1995 to take on the position of Group General Manager for Phuket Island Hotels & Resorts to manage three properties and in 1998, moved in the same capacity to Allson International Hotels & Resorts where he was in charge of Allson Klana Resort, Seremban; Allson Klana BBN, Nilas; Nilas Springs Golf & Country Club and Kasturi Klana Park Condominiums, Seremban.

From 2004 to 2006, Robert assumed the role of General Manager for the Jakarta Hilton International Complex.

As General Manager of the Bintan Lagoon Resort, he is responsible for administration and operation of the 416 rooms, 57 villas, 12 food & beverage outlets, two 18-hole golf courses and over 900 staff. Robert holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Aviation/Business Management from Embry-Riddle University at Daytona Beach, Florida and has completed various executive programs at Cornell University.
