Richard Martin Saul has been appointed General Manager of the JW Marriott Jakarta Hotel, replacing
Greg Allan who has taken up a new assignment in the Singapore Marriott Hotel.
Richard was most recently General Manager (GM) of the 860-room Renaissance Harbour View Hotel
in Hong Kong.
Richards hotel experience began in Australia. Prior to joining Marriott he worked for Regent, Hyatt,
and Pan Pacific. He joined Marriott at the Renaissance Inya Lake Hotel in Myanmar and was later
promoted to GM of the Renaissance Palm Garden Hotel in Malaysia. In 2000 he became GM of
Marriotts Courtyard Surfers Paradise Resort and then moved to the Renaissance Yangtze Shanghai
Hotel.
Richard has won various Marriott awards including Rookie GM of the Year, Courtyard GM of the Year

Richard has
gained broad experience in several Asian and Pacific hotels. I am
delighted take up this assignment in one of Jakartas top hotels. The JW Marriott Jakarta Hotel is not only successful in this market, it is also
renowned in the Marriott family because of its legendary service. Its a great privilege to be
