Amadeus
has made three key appointments in the Australasia and Pacific region to support the rapid expansion of
its Airline Business Group.
Paul
Martin, Regional Director South-East Asia and India Subcontinent, Amadeus Airline Business Group:
In his new role, Paul will be responsible for the strategic development and maintenance of the Amadeus ABG as well as establishing new partnerships with airlines in the
region. He will oversee commercial operations, business development and marketing support for the Amadeus ABG across the region.
Paul previously held the positions of Vice President, Corporate and Marketing Communications for Amadeus Asia Pacific, and General Manager
Sales & Marketing, Australia and New Zealand. In his 13 years spent at Amadeus, Paul has held several senior positions within the organisations
marketing, sales, product and operations departments. He also brings to the job extensive experience in functional and system analysis in the
banking and finance, aviation and GDS sectors.
Stephann
Wensink, Regional Director Distribution Sales Management, Amadeus Airline Business Group:
Stephann Wensink will join the Airline Business Group as Regional Director, Distribution Sales Management. He will manage and lead the Asia-Pacific distribution and sales strategy,
guidelines and follow-up for the ABGs products and services, helping to reinforce Amadeus market and financial position. He will also be
supporting Airline Sales Management & Support on global initiatives.
Previously, Stephann was in charge of commercial strategy for
Asia Pacific within the office of the vice-president. Prior to his transfer to
Bangkok, he held positions in Key Account management (online agencies) and market management (Latin America) at the group headquarters in
Madrid. He began his career with the Amadeus IT Group in 1999 in Madrid, prior to which he worked in the finance, investment and IT sector.
John
Chapman, Regional Director IT Sales, Amadeus Airline Business Group, Asia Pacific: John Chapman will be responsible for strategic development of partnerships with airline IT providers in the Asia Pacific region, overseeing commercial operations,
business development and marketing support for Amadeus Airline Business Group IT Sales across the region.
John will also lead the sales effort among Asian carriers for Amadeus airline IT products and will work to identify new prospects and lead
commercial negotiations.
For the past year John has been head of account management and sales for Amadeus in the Pacific region, based in Sydney. Prior to joining
Amadeus, John worked for Sabre Airline Solutions for more than 15 years. John was responsible for building Sabre's airline hosting business in
Asia Pacific and prior to this also held a variety of other sales, account management and consulting roles in both Dallas and London.
