The
Venetian Macau-Resort-Hotel has launched some special events to celebrate its first Christmas in
Macau and also its first Winter Celebrations, including a stunning Santa Parade from Porte Cochere, a Tree Lighting Ceremony at the Podium of the Great Hall,
Children's Present Drive at Castella Square and a Wish Comes True event along St. Mark's Square
Wishing Canal.
"The Venetian has become a must-see destination for people both from this city and tourists visiting
Macau," said Mr. Stephen Weaver, President - Asian Region of Las Vegas Sands
Corp. "We are proud of our success and since
opening our doors at the end of August this year more than 6 millions of people have visited our property. We are also most grateful to all
those people who have shown such tremendous support since we opened and I would also like to share the joy and happiness of what a
Venetian Christmas brings with all of you and I send you my warmest good wishes."
Among the many events making up
the Venetian
Macau Winter Celebrations are "Gondola
Rides with Santa" at the Grand Canal, where guests and loved ones can indulge
in a romantic experience, with Santa Claus as a special companion. Or the whole family can join Santa in a trip along a canal as you get into the Christmas spirit. For those who want to
"Wish Comes True at Our Wishing Canals", they can make that wish for something precious
and special at three of the canals running along the Grand Canal Shoppes and coins collected will be donated to the Cradle of Hope Association.
Guests and visitors are also encouraged to make a
donation to the "Winter Gifts for the Cradle of Hope Association", where gifts such as toys, clothing and books can be dropped off to bring
Christmas joy to children who are less privileged and in need during this season of goodwill.
Among the many "Winter Specials" at the Grand Canal Shoppes are
seasonal offers at over seventy leading boutiques as well as
culinary temptations at the Venetian's array of international restaurants. The Winter Celebrations at The Venetian
Macau will run until the end of Chinese New Year. Next events are count-down
parties for New Year, which will be further enlivened with a performance by
the Pussycat Dolls
at The Venetian Arena, as well as other indoor and outdoor activities at The Venetian
Macau.
