From 14 August,
Lufthansa's First Class customers and HON Circle members will be able to enjoy
the exclusive atmosphere of a new Lufthansa First Class Lounge at Munich Airport. As at Frankfurt,
the First Class Lounge at Munich has a range of comfortable facilities and conveniences on offer.
These include a gourmet restaurant, a bar area, a cigar lounge and luxury bathroom areas.
At
Munich, access to and from the lounge is
possible via Level 4 (EU Departures), as well as via Level 5 (Non-EU Departures). As exclusive
passport control and security checkpoints are located within the lounge, passengers – whether
arriving or departing – can thus change levels directly.
“The percentage of First Class passengers
and HON Circle members has grown at a disproportionately high rate in recent years. We are
confident that our new service offering will continue to boost this trend,” said Thomas Klühr, Group
Representative and Head of Hub Management Munich.
The First Class Lounge extends over two levels and has a total area of 860 sq. metres. On the lower lounge level (Level 04), there is the lobby
and the service area for the limousine transfer. If a flight is leaving from an apron position, passengers will be collected at the lounge and
chauffeur driven direct to their aircraft.
On the upper level of the lounge (Level 05), passengers can relax or make effective use of their time until their flight departure. Separate
workrooms provide an inviting environment for passengers to prepare for their next meeting. In the exclusive bathroom area, guests can
unwind and freshen up before or after a long journey. The modern bathrooms are equipped with a shower or jacuzzi. Guests can also sit
back and enjoy the comfort of the relaxing chairs.
In the First Class Lounge there is also an attractive bar area and an inviting restaurant, where LSG Sky Chefs cooks spoil guests with a
range of culinary delicacies such as a sushi selection, which changes daily, regional organic produce and international specialities. The
choice range of beverages also includes 43 vintage Armagnacs. Smokers can use the Cigar Lounge, where snacks and drinks are
also provided.
Before entering the lounge, First Class passengers and HON Circle members can take advantage of other service facilities. These include a
valet parking service, separate check-in facilities and fast lanes at the central security checkpoints.
With the opening of the new First Class Lounge, Lufthansa customers will have a choice of five lounges at Munich with a total area of more
than 3,700 sq. metres.
