Connexion by Boeing now available on Singapore Airlines flights between Singapore and Sydney

Singapore Airlines passengers flying to and from Sydney will now be able to connect online at 35,000 feet at the same speed and access they enjoy from broadband connections on the ground, with Connexion by Boeing's inflight internet service.

Singapore Airlines passengers can sign into Connexion by Boeing on their wireless-enabled laptops, to instantly access email, surf the internet and connect to their company’s intranet.

The sophisticated service not only offers fast, accessible online service, it also provides live global television programming, enabling passengers to tune into four channels including BBC World, CNBC, EuroNews and Eurosport News.

“Singapore Airlines is happy to mark our first year partnership with Connexion by Boeing with another first – by being the first airline to bring inflight broadband connectivity to the South West Pacific region. The inflight broadband service and live global television opens up a world of entertainment and lifestyle choices to our customers, be it staying in touch with loved ones and colleagues or watching the latest news as it happens,” said Singapore Airlines Senior Vice-President, Product and Services Mr Yap Kim Wah.

With latest research showing around 40% of Australians use broadband at home, Singapore Airlines expects the service to be well received by its customers from Sydney.

24 Hours - US$26.95 -24-hour price plan applies to multi-sector flights and connecting flights for example, Singapore-Frankfurt-New York and Sydney-Singapore-London respectively.
