The details of EIBTM’s 2006 Association Programme in Barcelona have been
released and online registration is now live.
Now in its fifth year, the EIBTM 2006 Association Programme will take place from Monday 27th November to Wednesday 29th November and

(subject to availability); accommodation in Barcelona, networking functions, the educational
programme and a personal diary of appointments with EIBTM exhibitors.
Paul Kennedy MBE, EIBTM Exhibition Director,
commented, “Following close debate with the key industry associations and our own association
committee the EIBTM 2006 Association Programme has been further developed this year to meet the needs of Association meeting planers. Crucial
networking time has been added so that planners can learn from each other by sharing issues and problems. Equally, we have a number of
roundtable discussions and case studies to stimulate debate.”
Day One of the programme (Monday 27th November 2006) takes place at the Fira Palace Hotel and includes:
- Barcelona city tour for the planners arriving on Sunday
- “Getting to Know You” - Association roundtable networking lunch
· “Is Anybody Listening?” - Moderated by Martin Sirk, CEO, ICCA. Case studies on today’s most pressing communication issues facing
international associations, including roundtable sessions. This session is designed for planners to present their biggest communication
challenges and the solutions they came up with. A series of 10-15 minutes case studies will be used to stimulate discussion.
· Peer Group Discussion Sessions – Two 30 minutes sessions to enable planners to discuss specific topics with their peers.
- EIBTM /ICCA Association Networking evening with ICCA members
Day Two (Tuesday 28th November 2006) takes place at the Fira Gran Via exhibition/conference centre and includes:

presentations, roundtable sessions and lively debates on the following issues:
