Virgin Atlantic
has introduced Mind Gym clinics for its Upper Class passengers in its new Clubhouse at Heathrow airport. The Mind Gym clinics
offer practical tools and techniques designed to help passengers use their minds more effectively and get more out of life. The clinics will run at the
Clubhouse until Friday 28 April, Monday to Friday from 8am – 2pm.
A team of experienced coaches will run daily clinics on subjects including; Relaxation, Creative Juices, Jump Start and Conflict Detox. Each
session will last around 15-20 minutes with a maximum of 10 people being able to join in.
Virgin Atlantic is planning to offer a number of clinics in 2006, following the success of the Blackberry Clinic, which took place in February. The next
clinic, by Surface, a personal styling service, is planned for May.
Steve Ridgway, Chief Executive of Virgin Atlantic
said, “The new Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse at Heathrow has an amazing range of facilities and
services to keep the Upper Class passengers busy, whether it is watching a movie on the multiscreen, having a treatment in the Cowshed spa,
relaxing in the jacuzzi or enjoying a cocktail and a gourmet meal. And now they have the opportunity to exercise their minds as well as their senses
with this innovative new service.”
Virgin Atlantic Airways opened its new £11m flagship business class lounge at Heathrow in March 2006. The Clubhouse, which is over 2,500
square metres in total, has been designed to feel like a private members’ club and
even offers a spa pool, steam room and sauna.
Upper Class passengers can take a seat at the 14 metre long cocktail bar and sample a range of classic drinks and champagne cocktails, visit the
Cowshed Spa where they can treat themselves to a selection of exclusive Cowgroom treatments, get a stylish pre-trip haircut at the Bumble &
bumble hairdressing salon or for those in need of a pre-travel glow, there is a new St. Tropez tanning booth situated in the spa area.
Upper Class passengers can
enjoy a wide selection from the brasserie menu and choose to have lunch or dinner before their flight. Passengers
can also make a selection from the deli or help themselves to drinks, treats, and healthy snacks from stations dotted around the lounge.
Upper Class passengers wanting to work as well as play, will find laptop points around the Clubhouse and the whole lounge is equipped with the
very latest wireless technology. Internet access is also provided for those who want to browse the net and there are also stylish phones for
passengers wanting to make last minute calls.
