be able to welcome guests for the first time to Chiang Mai on 9 August 2006 with the opening of
the Meritus Chiang Mai Riverside Spa Resort, a five-star resort just 15 minutes from the airport.
The 74
rooms and suites, surrounded by 10 acres of landscape garden and land, is built in the heart of the city along the bank of the well-known Mae
Ping River and close by to the famous Chiang Mai Night Bazaar and new Night Safari.
