KLM Royal Dutch Airlines
has appointed B.J. (Ben) Swagerman as Senior Vice President of KLM Security Services. Ben Swagerman has
been working as interim Head at Security Services since February 1. In this role he has acquired
a great deal of knowledge and experience of the different KLM divisions.
Mr. Swagerman began his career as a lawyer and occupied a number of positions at the Public Prosecution Service, including the post of
Advocate General on Curaςao. The last position he held at the Public Prosecution Service was that of Chief Public Prosecutor in the city
of Roermond.
Ben Swagerman succeeds Mr. T.J. (Teun) Platenkamp, who will retire from KLM at the beginning of 2007. Teun Platenkamp will use the
last months of his active career at KLM to round off his international responsibilities relating to the AEA and
IATA.
