Virgin Nigeria, the fully private sector airline of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,
has launched thrice weekly services between Lagos and Dubai.
Flights will operate from Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Lagos departing on Sundays, Tuesdays and Fridays at 22.30 and arriving at
Dubai International Airport the next day at 09.20 (flight time 7 hours and 50 minutes). The return flights depart from Dubai on Mondays, Wednesdays
and Saturdays, leaving Dubai at 11.20, arriving at 16.20 the same day (flight time 8 hours).
Conrad Clifford, Chief Executive Officer of Virgin Nigeria
said, "We are delighted to be flying the Nigerian flag to Dubai, which is the third long haul
destination to be added to our route network in under a year of operation. Dubai is a major business centre and popular holiday destination and we
are sure that our passengers will enjoy the high quality service and world class product that Virgin Nigeria offers. Passengers can also take
advantage of convenient onward connections to Abuja, Port Harcourt, Kano and other West African routes."
All Virgin Nigeria flights between Lagos and Dubai will be operated by Virgin Nigeria’s modern A340-300 aircraft with a configuration of 40 Business
Class, 28 Premium Economy and 187 Economy class. Customers will also be experiencing Virgin Nigeria’s product which includes a dynamic
inflight entertainment system featuring blockbuster movies and Virgin Nigeria TV, movie and audio channels, Nigerian newspapers and magazines
as well as a blend of international and Nigerian cuisine.
The launch of services to Dubai brings the number of destinations operated by Virgin Nigeria to 12 in just under a year of operation.
