Korean Air
has started offering passengers a taste of healthy in-flight meals prepared with top quality ingredients such as organic vegetables
and grains. The new organic menus contain fresh organic vegetables such as lettuce, red chicory and romaine, bread made from organic flour and organic
morning cereal.
Korean Air
started serving the new organic menu on September 1, initially in First Class and Prestige Class, and will gradually extend
the service to Economy Class. The new menus have been launched on long-haul flights between Korea and America and Europe, expanding
to mid-haul and short-haul flights from October.
“Organic food was only served in a small number of First and Business class cabins in the past. Our decision to introduce organic food
enables us to enhance our service quality as an industry leader,” said JH Lee, COO and President of Korean Air.
The organic food supplier for Korean Air, Gewiss Land, is the largest organic farm in Korea. It delivers organic food to the Korean Air
catering center within 24 hours after production, which enables Korean Air passengers to experience top quality in-flight meals.
