Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific has
appointed Rosalind Yin-Yao Chen to the position of director, development and planning, where she will be
responsible for overseeing the growth of all Carlson hotel brands in South East Asia.
Rosalind joins Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific with a wealth of experience having previously held the position of director, project development planning
with InterContinential Hotels Group Asia Pacific in Singapore. In joining Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific, Rosalind will be responsible for financial
analysis of future management agreements, capital investment appraisal processes and assessment of equity investment projects as well as
development for South East Asia.

Kirwin, president and managing director, Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific,

impressive regional growth strategy to increase the number of hotels in the near future. As director of development and planning, Rosalind will be
integral to our continued success and growth.”
Carlson Hotels Asia Pacific is pursuing an ambitious expansion strategy to increase its portfolio by 50% over the next three years, by
aggressively increasing the number of hotels across all five of its brands, with major growth driven by its three full service brands – Regent,
Radisson and Park Plaza Hotels & Resorts.
Carlson Hotels has agreements in place for 23 new hotels, currently under development and due to open by the end of 2007, to add to its current
portfolio of 45 hotels and 9,593 rooms across the Asia Pacific region.
With over twelve years experience in the marketing and hotel industry, Rosalind has also held positions in Singapore with Starwood Hotels and
Resorts and Holiday Inn in China. Rosalind holds a Master of Management in Hospitality from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Arts in
Economics from the University of Michigan.
