Finnair
is to launch a direct route from Helsinki to Geneva on 1 June. Flights to the Geneva International Airport will be operated daily. Finnair already
flies to Zurich twice a day.
The direct daily Helsinki-Geneva flights
will be operated with Finnairs newest aircraft, the 76 seat Embraer 170. The flight leaves Helsinki at 16:15 in the
afternoon and arrives in Geneva at 18:20. Departure from Geneva is at 19:00 with arrival in Helsinki at 23:00.
Demand for the Geneva flights is expected not only from Finland but further East, as the route has excellent connections to Finnairs Asian network
and the city is a long-standing favourite with Japanese leisure passengers, for instance. Geneva is also an important business destination.
