On 3 April, passengers at Paris-Orly West airport will find a completely refurbished, more spacious and brighter Hall 2, with improved services in
terms of both passenger comfort and quality.
After thirteen months of renovation
work passengers at the terminal, who often travel on business, will discover that this renovation includes some immediately perceptible benefits such
as:
- Streamlined access: boarding and disembarkation are made faster and easier thanks to clearly defined areas. Security checkpoints are grouped in a single dedicated area to reduce waiting time.
- Optimized check-in areas: check-in counters for all destinations have been designed to streamline check-in procedures, giving passengers greater autonomy, reducing queues and
provide Air France with greater flexibility in passenger handling.
- New services for passengers: self-service kiosks, lounge, bar, TVs broadcasting airport programs, business areas, children's areas etc.
- An automatic sorting system ensures that baggage is routed faster to the aircraft.
From
3 April, La Navette shuttle flights to Bordeaux, Marseille and Toulouse, as well as flights to Lyon will be handled in the refurbished
Hall 2.
La Navette shuttle flights to Nice will continue to fly out of Hall 1 until June, to ensure the smooth implementation of the flight schedule in Hall 2
during the initial roll-out of the new facilities.
"Paris Airports Authority has developed a strategy focused on ongoing improvement to passenger services. To achieve this, we have designed
new facilities and invested heavily in our Paris hubs. The refurbishment of Hall 2 at Paris-Orly West is an illustration of this strategy and shows that
close cooperation with airlines is beneficial for all concerned, and especially our passengers", commented Pierre Graff, Chairman and CEO of Paris
Airports Authority.
