Hawaiian Airlines
is to launch new evening flights between Honolulu and four neighbour island destinations, increasing the travel options for
visitors.
Effective from 9 June, Hawaiian will introduce mid-evening roundtrip flights from Honolulu to Lihue, on the island of Kauai, Kahului, on the island of
Maui, and to Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii.
And from 30 June, the airline will introduce another evening roundtrip flight, from Honolulu to Hilo, on the Big Island.
All of the new services will be operated with Boeing 717 twinjets, configured to seat 123 passengers in a two class cabin – eight in First Class and
115 in Economy.
“Our additional evening services will enable travellers to spend a full day in Honolulu, or sightseeing on the island of Oahu, before proceeding to
neighbour islands in the evening, enabling an early start to activities the following day,” said Scott
Cammell, Hawaiian Airlines Sales and Marketing Manager, Australia.
“The late return flights will also enable those visiting the neighbour islands to spend a full day there, before returning to Honolulu during the
evening.”
