WORLDHOTELS has boosted its leisure offering by 27%
so far this year, counting now a total of almost 140 properties in this segment.
Michael Ball, CEO of WORLDHOTELS said, “The high-end leisure sector is of increasing importance to
WORLDHOTELS, as we see demand growing for room nights in this sector by 50% and for generated revenue by 60% during the first nine
months of this year. 85% of our leisure properties belong to the WORLDHOTELS Deluxe or First Class Collection.”
New member hotels in 2006 include six properties from Forte Village Hotels in Santa Margherita di Pula (Sardinia/Italy), a luxury resort set
in 25 hectares of beachfront gardens; the exotic contemporary style Bintan Lagoon Resort (Bintan/Indonesia) featuring 473 spacious
deluxe rooms, suites and villas; Angkor Palace Resort and Spa (Siem Reap/Cambodia), a delightful resort base from which to discover the legendary temples of
Angkor; and Villla Montana in Morelia (Mexico), overlooking the majestic world
cultural heritage Morelia.
