Starwood Resorts & Hotels
recently appointed Ms June Seah as Marketing Manager for its ever-growing Greater China
and Taiwan division.
With
Starwood’s new concept directions for the group’s eight hotel brands and rapid development across China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau,
Seah’s immediate tasks are to ensure that all brand directions are communicated in their precise essence, leverage on high profile
partnership with luxury or consumer brands and to support all Starwood hotels – existing or new – within the division in their marketing and
communications efforts. June is based in Shanghai and reports to James Ramage, Area Director of Sales & Marketing for Greater China and
Taiwan.
Prior to this appointment, Seah had completed a one-year pre-opening stint for the new Hilton Sanya Resort & Spa on Hainan Island. Before
moving to China, the bilingual Singaporean spent five years in Phuket, Thailand, establishing herself in hotel public relations and communications,
first with the renowned Blue Canyon Country Club as PR and Events Manager. She then moved on to Sheraton Grande Laguna Phuket as Director
of Marketing Communications and was later transferred to the Destination Marketing arm for the owning company of Laguna Phuket as Marketing
Communications and E-Commerce Manager.
Seah holds a BA degree from the University of Singapore. She is also fluent in Thai and speaks Bahasa Indonesia.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts has expanded its portfolio in China significantly in the last two years with the opening of Sheraton hotels in Haikou on
Hainan Island and Dongguan, Le Meridien She Shan, Shanghai, and Four Points by Sheraton Shenzhen. Upcoming new hotels are located
Shenzhen, Xiamen, Beijing, Dameisha, Taiyuan, Haikou, Zhongshan, Yilan, Urumqi, Guiyang, Shanghai, Changsha, Changshu, Guangzhou,
Chongqing, Dalian, Nanjing, Hong Kong and Zhejiang.
