The
Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo, in collaboration with Nihonbashi’s exclusive Kimono shop Chikusen, has crafted specially designed men’s and
women’s Yukata -- the traditional Japanese garment that annually brings bright splashes of local colour to festivals, firework displays and other
summer events throughout the country. A complete summer wear ensemble, from the finest hand-dyed Yukata created from the finest cotton to
traditional footgear and a branded Chikusen Obi, will be presented to each guest enjoying the ‘MO Original Yukata’ accommodation package valid
from 1 July through 31 August 2006.
For each participating individual, the MO Original Yukata package offers:
• One night accommodation in a 50 m2 Premier Deluxe Room overlooking Tokyo Bay and the old-Edo areas of Asakusa and Ryogoku;
• For women, one “Willow Sprigs and Swallows” motif, selected from Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo’s Isegata pattern collection, pongee cotton Yukata
(one size fits all);
• For men, one specially designed “Fishnets and Fans” motif cotton Yukata (sizes M and LL);
• Individual preference of a branded Chikusen Obi, choice of three colours;
• Preferred choice of one pair of paulownia-wood Geta (wooden clogs), three styles available;
• One pair of premium Tabi socks;
• One complimentary cocktail at the Hotel’s stylish Mandarin Bar on the 37th floor; and
• A Mandarin Oriental exclusive gift.
The package price, which includes Japanese consumption tax and a 10% service charge, is JPY 180,000 for double occupancy and JPY 240,000 for
triple occupancy. Tokyo’s Accommodation Tax of JPY 200 per person per night is not included.
