One of the fastest growing tourist destinations in Africa, Tanzania’s tourism is booming. This increase is reflected both in tourist numbers, as well as in recent
investments by major international luxury hotel chains including Kempinski and Movenpick. Tanzania expects the total number of tourist arrivals to increase 15%, from
600,000 in 2005 to an estimated 700,000 in 2006. This growth is attributed to Tanzania’s world famous attractions including Mt. Kilimanjaro, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti
National Park, and Zanzibar, to name just a few.
