Participants in Air France KLM’s Flying Blue program can now purchase a one-year Privium Basic Pass at an attractive price combined with Flying
Blue miles. The pass lets travelers go through arrivals and departures, passport and baggage check, quickly and easily using iris scan technology
at Schiphol Airport. The offer lasts until October 1, 2006 and the pass becomes effective on that date.
Flying Blue members can purchase the Privium Basic Pass for € 50 and 17,000 Award miles. Normally the pass costs € 99.
Flying Blue is Air France KLM's joint loyalty program.
"Using Privium Basic, we offer our passengers greater independence in deciding how they wish to plan the start and finish of their air travel,
quickly and comfortably," said KLM’s Executive Vice President Commercial, Paul Gregorowitsch. "Following the tremendous success of Internet
reservations and check-in, and the self-service check-in machines at Schiphol and other airports, we expect that our frequent flyers will welcome
the Privium Basic product with open arms."
"To have Air France KLM, the largest airline group operating at our airport, offering Privium as part of its Flying Blue program is an important step
forward for Schiphol," says Dick Flinck, Director, Business Area Consumers at Schiphol Group. "In the five years of its existence, Privium has built
up a high degree of customer appreciation among its growing membership, inside and outside the Netherlands."
Privium, a service of Schiphol Group, is
one of the world's first programs to offer travelers priority, speed, and comfort using iris-scan technology for
border crossing. Privium will soon pass the five-year mark and now counts about 30,000 members.
