SynXis adds Hong Kong Disneyland to RedX Distribution Management System

Travel News Asia Friday, 21 April 2006

Hong Kong Disneyland has selected SynXis' (Sabre Holdings) RedX Distribution Management System to process their electronic reservations and to facilitate the promotion of their products to travel agents around the world.

Hong Kong is the newest member of the Disney family and guests can stay in the heart of the magic by choosing from two imaginatively themed Hong Kong Disneyland properties - the luxurious Victorian-style Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel or the glamorous tribute to Hollywood’s Golden Age, Disney’s Hollywood Hotel. Both properties will be represented by SynXis under the YX chain code.

Together with Sabre Travel Network, SynXis and the Disney properties will educate travel agents not only on Disney’s availability in the GDSs, but also on the magical services that Hong Kong Disneyland provides its guests.

“We would like to focus on educating travel agents throughout Asia on our properties and make sure that rooms are available through electronic reservations,” commented Josh D’Amaro, Vice President, Sales and Travel Trade Marketing of Hong Kong Disneyland.

“We are thrilled to add another group of Disneyland hotels to our portfolio of customers,” said David Meltzer, Vice President of Sales for SynXis. “They have proven to be forward thinking in their approach to marketing their properties around the world and our international experience makes us a great fit.”
