A complete on-board entertainment system and twin-configuration bed design are just two of the innovative new features of KEA’s
new rental four-berth motor home, which will cruise onto Australian highways from June.
“We constantly encourage our customers to let us know what would improve their experience of touring in a KEA camper or motor home, and we
are always looking for ways to apply their ideas. The new features of the enhanced four-berth motor homes stem from this feedback, and we are
excited to be introducing them to travellers in Australia,” said KEA International Sales and Marketing Manager for Australia and New Zealand,
Richard McKisack.
A significant addition to the new four berth is the fold-out plasma TV screen and plaque-mounted DVD player, allowing travellers for the first time to
tune in to local television channels, watch a DVD or play music.
Another key feature is the versatile rear seat arrangement that can be quickly converted into two single beds or a large double, making the new
four-berth a better option for families or small groups. This is combined with increased head room for the over-cab double bed, and KEA’s standard
feature of the largest beds of any rental campervan or motor home in Australia.
The new vehicle’s exterior design is sleeker than the previous model, with KEA reconfiguring the rear interior to increase both kitchen bench and
floor space. Other new features, such as the addition of drop-down blockout blinds as opposed to curtains, directional spotlights throughout the
living area, improved and streamlined full-vehicle air conditioning unit and frosted acrylic cabinet doors create an environment that is more like an
apartment than an RV.
The high-quality fit-out, including the enclosed toilet and shower cubicle, full gas kitchen and on-board safe for the storage of valuables are among
the features that combine to bring the specification of KEA campers to a new level.
“The introduction of an on-board entertainment system and more versatile sleeping configurations will be a huge plus for lovers of camper
holidays, and will make the idea a more attractive one for families and groups of friends who may have never experienced what it is like to take a trip
in a motor home. The new features of the KEA four-berth broaden the scope of what truly is a unique way to see Australia,” Richard said.
KEA
now runs a fleet of over 450 modern campervans, motor homes and 4WDs in Australia while in New Zealand, runs over 500 campervans
along with premier motorcycle tours and rentals.
